5th 2008 A gala musical evening JAGJIT SINGH LIVE , a farewell tour concert was organised in Chicago, US. We came to know about this programme from hoardings.As I had never attended any live concert before I wanted to be a part of the programme to get the feel of live performance of Great Singer. We got two ticket for 75 $ each.About 1000 Indians gathered for this event.It is always a sole stiring to see such a large number of people from one's own country of origin at alien Nation.The epitome of Hindi Gazal Mr Jagjit Singh embellished the crowd with evergreen numbers like:

Tumko Dekha tu yeah khayal aaya
Kagaz ki Kasthi
Honton se choolo tum
Kagaz ke Kasthi

I also liked the tabla and flute playing. I don't have any education in music so am not able to judge properly but it was so soul touching that I can say it was simply genius.
The concert would had been more energizing if it was organised in acoustic building instead of Sports Odium Complex for everyone who was there.
